The Sioux City Cobras started their season with three straight road games. They won one, against Sioux Falls. After winning all but one home game, the Attack went on the road for the playoffs. The team won, 53-38, at Lincoln. Sioux City was the only team in the 2000 IFL playoffs to win on the road. In the quarterfinals, the Attack came up short, 30-14, at Bismarck. When the IFL was sold, the franchise moved to the NIFL and then the UIF.
