The Minnesota Purple Rage played one unsuccessful season in the IFL. The Purple Rage lost their season openner against Duluth, 29-28, which really set the tone for the year: close losses. Their next loss came by four points to Peoria, and later in the year, the team lost back-to-back three point games to Green Bay and LaCrosse. When the IFL was sold, the Purple Rage folded and no team has played in Minnesota since.
