The San Diego Strike Force were an expansion team for the 2019 season and struggled mightily on and off the field. On the field, the defense was constantly maligned for 60+ points, even giving up 91 and 84 to Arizona. The team returned for 2020, winning its opening game at Bismarck before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. The team did not return in 2021 due to arena restrictions, but did come back in 2022. The Strike Force went 3-13 in 2022. One of the wins came at Tucson on a touchdown with no time remaining for the 67-66 victory. Jorge Reyna spent the most time at quarterback, passing for 1,305 yards, 28 touchdowns and just four interceptions. Steven Cluley added 13 touchdowns and 709 passing yards. Marques Rodgers caught 54 balls for 607 yards and eleven touchdowns. The team returned in 2023 and again struggled, missing the playoffs. A 6-9 regular season saw veteran QB Nate Davis on the field for ten games. He passed for 2,120 yards, 48 scores and just eight interceptions. Kentrez Bell hauled in 24 touchdowns and 1,092 yards on 82 catches. The defense struggled, however, picking just eight total passes off and getting 8.5 total sacks. The team went 10-6 in 2024 and qualified for the playoffs, advancing to the semifinals. Nate Davis quarterbacked the team, throwing for 3,146 yards and 74 touchdowns. He was picked off 21 times. Arthur Jackson led all receivers in the league with 29 touchdown and 774 yards on 64 receptions. San Diego won four of their last five games, three of which came by one point each. In the playoffs, San Diego traveled to top seeded Bay Area and won 49-40. In the semifinals, Arizona dominated 51-28. Defense was a strong facet for the team, as they picked off 28 passes.
