The Saginaw Sting joined the AIF for the 2015 after several years in other leagues. The Sting put up a 6-2 regular season record, dispatching Chicago twice and falling to ASI and York. In the playoffs, Saginaw hosted Chicago and was a strong favorite. However, after 15 and 34 point wins in the regular season, Chicago repaid the favor with a 63-39 victory of their own to advance to the AIF championship game against unbeaten York.
