The giraffe is a very amazing animal. It is the tallest mammal of them all! Also, the giraffe's scientific name is Giraffa Camelopardalis. They also have extremely long necks. They use their necks for eating leaves off of tall trees in the savanna. These large animals have horns too! Their horns are made up solid bone, but are skin covered. Male giraffe's can weigh anywhere from 2420 to 4250 pounds. On the other hand, females only weigh 1540 to 2600 pounds.
