Ocean Jasper was discovered a few years ago on the north west coast of Madagascar. It was so hard to find for many decades because the mineral deposit is located along the coast and when the tides rise it cannot be seen. Mining is only done on low tide and when the waters have gone down! That is pretty much how the mineral Ocean Jasper got its name. If you would like to purchase some ocean jasper please contact me at fossilcreekjewelry@hotmail.com
I will be making a trip to Wisconsin sometime early spring to pick up a few hundred pounds of the ocean jasper rough direct from the owners of the mineral rights in Madagascar, so i will be able to sell at wholesale prices to you. In the mean time I still have a good supply and can fill your orders. Thankyou!

Hauling the Ocean Jasper Rough Rock
Workers wading through the water to store rough ocean jasper on the boat. When the tides rise and if the boat doesn't float then they know that they have overloaded the boat. Then they must toss out as much as they need to in order to float again. They come back and collect it the next day at low tide.
