19OCT2008 eightvalves.com showed up at the NASA VW Drag Racing Series double race day. First race was a double points race for the regular series, while the second was an open race, for non members and watercooled vw/automatic transmission/other makes. On the first pass of the day, the car spun a bit off the line, then broke the drivers side axle going into second gear! I fought the wheel, trying to put me into the wall, and managed to get the car stopped without any damage, except for the axle and my shorts! Video HERE

9SEP2008 The eightvalves.com crew loaded up and headed up to Woodburn, Oregon for Pacific Waterlands 2008. After a long drive, a tour of Techtonics Tuning and Double J Motorwerks, we settled in with the Double J crew and friends for some camping. We met new people, enjoyed a great BBQ, and had a great time racing with the rest of the Pro bracket. Hats off to Aaron, with the fastest watercooled VW of the day, a 523whp rabbit running low 11's at 130+mph. We set a new best of 12.78@105.59mph ourselves, and had a great time running with everyone. Big thanks to Double J for putting on an excellent event, and to all the sponsors who made it possible.

1SEP2008 eightvalves.com made the second of it's twice annual trip to Sacramento Raceway Park for the 2008 Bugorama #62. Great weather was a huge help to us running a best of 12.81@103mph for the weekend. We took the Watercooled Class Championship running a 13.1 on a 12.90 dial, lifting at the top end and beating an A1 Rabbit, running good times with nitrous injection.
