HURRICANE TURNS OUT TO BE HOT AIR

 Bout likely cancelled says sources

Sources have confirmed that the fight of the century is in serious jeopardy due to Steve "The Hurricane" Herberts lack of ability to muster up the courage to take on Chris "The Turtle Tamer" Brown as of press time.

An official close to the fight confirmed that in recent weeks Herbert had started to give inklings about his willingness to put it all on the line. Comments in training about sore knees and reoccurring gout had started to plague Herbert. Trainers in the Herbert camp would neither confirm or deny the fact that Hurricane's training of mostly Double Cheeseburgers and foot long subs had the former Central Columbia standout ballooning to nearly 325 pounds pre weigh in for the big dance.

A close associate of Herbert's spoke on the condition of anonymity that after a recent press conference promoting the fight, Herbert had discovered "SKID MARKS" in his boxers and that maybe the fight wasn't such a good idea after all.

A self professed ladies man, Herbert 47, had fallen on hard times recently. His business empire had crumbled due to fierce competition. The family homestead also had been sold.

After a recent arrest for driving while intoxicated and having his pants fall down around his ankles exposing his "moon" to hundreds of onlookers, Herbert had vowed to clean up his act and get his life back together. Herbert expressed a willingness to get back in the ring, which led to the signing of the bout with Brown.

Many analysts had thought Herbert's career to be over after his last fight. Herbert was savagely beaten in that outing which left him unconscious with massive facial injuries.

The Herbert camp has called a Friday afternoon news conference.

The Brown camp has issued a statement. "If Herbert backs out of this fight, we knew that that damn TURTLE was going to suck into his shell and be a wussy the whole time.
