Educational Web Sites

Educational World
http://www.education-world.com/

The contents of this site will inform instructors
on how to basically manuver through teaching methods and
ways to express certain ways of teaching. Teachers can also find lesson
planning techniques, school issues, professional development, technology
integration, and other resources needed to access education on the web.

My personal opinion on this website is basically, that I like it. I would use
this website for any idea I would need for a
lesson plan or curricula development. This website could
also help evaluate a certain discussion or question any teacher would have. Basically, this is a great
site that can help out any person with a question.

International Language and Culture
http://home.computer.net/~dibianco/foreign.html

The contents on this site will help any
person in need of communication. It shows links of other sites which people can
check for language differences and other cultures. It also explains other cultures with
there differences in language and every day life affairs.

In my opinion this website could be very useful with helping
students who are transfering from other schools and coming from various backgrounds and countrys.
This site could help students and teachers become a better established
force in the education process.

Humanities
http://home.computer.net/~dibianco/humaniti.html

This website would be a very useful tool in Literature.
It explains many different literatures, Music, Language arts, Childrens Lit.,
Poetry, Writers resources, Theatre, and art. Any teacher studying
English or teaching English would like this website for
it's differnt uses. This could be an English
or Humanitites teachers best friend.

I personally think this website is a good source for any teacher
questioning a certain process in literature. It can help out most people but too some it could be
confusing. This website is "uncomfortable" when first
accessing it, so be aware of each link and its usage.

The Kids on the Web: Educational Sites
http://www.zen.org/~brendan/kids-ed.html

This website's contents are basically a
map of other websites that could relate matters that are at hand.
It has many links in which you can access in basically any problem or pain
staking error. Teachers can use this
website to find out valuable information regarding certain scenarios.

In this instance, I would definitley suggest this website to most people or teachers
who run into a problem in there classroom. This gives examples of other sites that
could help you in given situations and most likely
get you through many cases of problems.

Common Errors in English
http://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/

This website is mainly made for the
English teacher as well. It explains problems that most frequently happen in
the English language such as punctuation, grammar usage, and certain formats. This is a great
website that can be used for grading five paragraph essays
or any other type of written literature by a student.

As for accessing this site, it is quite simple and
for that reason I enjoy this website. The navigation is quite simple and
I think that this site is precisely organized and well rounded. It explains everything
very well and it's easy to understand. Any person could understand
English after mastering the few mistakes that are so commonly made.

Guide to Grammar and Writing
http://webster.commnet.edu/grammar/

This website is a great source for fixing your grammar
and becoming a better writer. It gives tips and suggestions to
any average student who needs help getting better
with there writing and language rules. It would help any student
who is having problems with getting
an "A" on an English or Literature paper.

In favor to English this site would rank very
high on my scale. I like the format and the search engines
on this site that can help out any person on any circumstance. It basically teaches
you the ways over the internet and that is something that not many websites can do!

Wordnet
http://www.cogsci.princeton.edu/~wn/

This website is an online lexical reference system whose design is
inspired by current psycholinguistic theories of human lexical memory. English
nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are organized into synonym sets,
each representing one underlying lexical
concept. Different relations link the synonym sets.

In my preference, I would have to say that
this site would help students in need of grammar issues or questions on the
English language or culture. This site could spell out any problems
or situations that could
be an issue with any person studying English.

Shakespeare in Education
http://shakespeare.palomar.edu/educational.htm

This page contains both links to sites designed to teach Shakespeare over
the Internet and in the classroom, and sites which contain mostly non-print educational
materials (such as CD, other software, posters and illustrations, etc.) related to the teaching
of Shakespeare. The latter, of course, are commercial sites. Both are relevant. Book and publisher-related
resources I have gathered separately in a new section
of the Works page called Publishers & Booksellers

In my opinion, I like this website, not only because I love Shakespeare but
because it explains his teachings and people can relate it to literature. It can also show people how
writing techniques were looked at back during his time.

The Site for Teachers
http://www.sitesforteachers.com/

The site informs teachers (and learners) of other sites that can pertain
to there area of problem or style of curriculum. This site could help students in learning about
a certain subject and ways to master the techniques at hand or it could help a teacher with making
there lesson plans for the coming year.

In my opinion, I think this website is a
great map for accessing other sites in order to further someone's knowledge in
education. This site could show you sites which could pertain
to your problem or scenario. It is a great map to the world wide web.

Pedagogy Sites for Teachers of English/Language Arts
http://www.wiu.edu/users/mfwc/wiu/pedagogy.html

This website is a site that includes a map to other links that can help
deal with English. Any student or teacher needing assistance finding information or details should
access this site for future building plans.

This website is a great mapsite that can help you find any
English related thing you might need. It also has some sites that can
be to some amusement, that might help the "abstract" thinker out as well.
This site is a great help too all English thinkers.
