MON VALLEY TITLE TOURNAMENT BEGINS AT AFTERMATH!

The tournament for the vacant CWF Mon Valley title began at AFTERMATH with four matches and the field of eight has been dwindled to four with the semifinals and the finals of the tournament taking part at DILEMMA.

Former Keystone champion “Bread Man” Dan Sandwich was the first competitor to advance as he downed the Specialist with his patented “Slice Bread No. 2”.

“To win the title I have to win three matches,” Sandwich said. “One down, two to go.”

Next to move on was two-time CWF Heavyweight champion Zubov as he downed the most recent graduate of the CWF Training Academy, Nick Mirra. The bout was even throughout until Mirra missed a frog splash and Zubov hit a spear for the three-count.

“I am the greatest CWF Heavyweight champion ever and I will soon be the greatest CWF Mon Valley champion of all-time,” Zubov said. “Dan Sandwich is next.”

Powerhouse Hughes advanced with a hard-fought win against possibly his greatest rival, “Solution” Scott Fowler, when Justin idol tried to interfere and cost Hughes the match. However, Idol’s interference backfired and Hughes was able to roll up Fowler for the win.

“Scott is a very tough wrestler,” Hughes said. “I had a feeling Idol would try to cost me the match and his distraction may have hurt Scott more than it did me.”

Idol then had to face former best friend Eric Xtasy with the winner advancing to face Hughes. The math was evenly paced and just when it seemed that Idol was in a position to put Xtasy away, Hughes walked to ringside allowing Idol to be distracted. Idol turned around to grab Xtasy but Xtasy surprised Idol with his variation of the tombstone piledriver for the win.

“This is a big win for me and I believe that it is my destiny to win the Mon Valley title,” Xtasy said. “I know I have a tough road ahead but I feel that I am up for the challenge.”
