"Delta Force Outlaws". What a squad. This was my first, and my favorite (until I joined GH of course). It started small but grew into something special. You can look at all the names on the roster, and realize with the talent there, the sky was the ceiling for potential. There were some real good days, but the ones that were bad, were some of the worst I've been around. Overall though, times were good, players got along, and that made for a great squad. So that's were this page comes in. I figure it's part of history, and history should be documented. I went on a scavenger hunt, trying to find and dust off the relics that once represented DFO. Here are a few things I came up with, some you may even recall.

You had one of four titles, with the opportunity for a promotion at anytime. Top position, the fella with the white hat and red bandana, was the Squad Leader, aka Duke. Next there would be 2-4 guys in command under the Squad Leader, those guys would be the fella in the black wide brim holding the six shooter in his right hand. We called them Posse Leaders. Then under the Posse Leaders charge, you would find the more experienced players, the double six shooter fella in the brown hat. Gave them the title of Train Robbers. Finally we had those that were relatively new to the squad, like the little guy all in black. We titled them Bandits. That about covered all but one guy on the squad. He was the Hangman, and the only time you'd see him, well, it was the last time you'd see him.

DFO members were a bunch of gabbers. And the other squads also seemed to be a bunch of gabbers, especially those RAPpers. So a public board to post made a lot of sense. But if you wanted to know how an Outlaw really felt about something, you headed over to the Saloon. Not a place for the easily offended I can assure you. You never knew what you were gonna hear about on a given day, but you were sure you would learn something you hadnt known before walking through the swinging doors. You'd come for the talk, but stay for the beer. Nothing beat the DFO home brew. Except for the prostitutes upstairs of course. Of course.

"The Closing Chapter"
All good things must come to and end.....or at least enter a second stage of existence. Everything strives to improve itself and DFO was no different. Long after the departure of Eastwood, and during the era of Duke, there were whisperings that maybe the squad had to regroup and reform to gain a new outlook. New squad names were offered, and eventually put to a vote.....and so it eventually came to pass. "Delta Force Outlaws", R.I.P. June 2, 2001.
