I just returned from a forum where everything
 that you 
need to know about the Catholic Church was covered
-I will not
give out the name of the forum,but it wouldn't really make
any difference. I'm sure all of this has been covered somewhere.
We could call it the Alphabet of Accusations
 and our Patron,
St. Anthony(Antonius)would be aghast. 
Given the reputation for
his being a great preacher I'm sure he'd have handled it easily.

We should mention A is  for 
ad hominem attacks-if one makes an accusation
 and it's against the Catholic Church it 
MUST be true...in the near future
I will be collecting some of these  accusations and
responsess to put here.
Keep an eye peeled from time to time.

IF you have any questions re the iconography
 all you have to do is send
an email and ask.
Iconography is 'spiritual art'--the Eastern Catholic Churches
 have remarkable icons as does
Eastern Orthodox.
Keep in mind as you note the images of Mary with Jesus-that Mary 
would never lead us away from Jesus. She can only take us 
directly to Him. She gave Him to us the second she spoke her fiat,
"be it done unto me..." Eve said no to God-Mary said YES!
She tells us, as she did the hosts  at the Wedding Feast of Cana,
do as He tells you.
Jesus was really and truly her Son.
We are really and truly God's family.
 And she is really and truly our Mother-
Jesus Himself gave her to us on the cross.She gave Him to us in
the joy of His conception and birth-and she gave Him to us again
in her grief,sorrow and agony as she watched Him suffer and die 
on the cross.
Mary can't lead us to anyone BUT Jesus!
She is the Ark of the Covenant.
