Good pitching from former Cy Young winner leads Team Barilar
Team Barilar 10
Team Walker 6
 by Turd Ferguson
Team Barilar and Team Walker took the field Sunday for the first game of the day. The intriguing match-up in this game was Kyle Barilar vs. two-year teammate Joey Troupe. Barilar got the best of Troupe going 4-4 off of him in a game in which Troupe got pounded.
Team Walker went scoreless in the top of the second and in the bottom of the inning Kyle Barilar drove in Mike Pride with an RBI double. This was the beginning of a bad fielding game for Team Walker. Troupe retired the side but got no help from his offense as they went hitless in the top of the third. Troupe gave up two more runs on a two run homerun by former teammate Kyle Barilar which extended Team Barilar’s lead to three runs. Down three, Team Walker got two runs from solo shots by Andy Snyder and Joey Troupe in the top of the fourth. The bottom of the inning spelled trouble for Troupe who gave up three consecutive homeruns to Barilar, Blose, and Miloser followed by a single to Pride. Troupe pulled himself from the game and gave way to Walker at the mound. After giving up two more runs, the inning was over.
Down six, Andy Snyder and Ronnie Walker led off the top of the fifth inning with back to back homeruns in what looked like a rally. Team Walker was quieted though, not scoring again until the seventh inning. Walker did well on the mound, allowing only one more hit, a solo homerun to Miloser in the bottom of the sixth. With the game out of reach with Team Walker down five in the top of the seventh, Team Walker could only muster a solo homerun from Andy Snyder. Joey Troupe grounded out to end the game and give Adam Miloser the complete game victory at the mound.
Snyder and Miloser each hit three homeruns for their respective teams. Miloser earned his second consecutive complete game victory making him 2-0 thus far in the season. James Pritchard was 1-5 with a single and a strikeout in his first appearance of the season.
