These are pictures from Wilson's Wharf at Fort Pocahontas near Williamsburg, VA along the James River. It was the site of a Union Fort and a battle that took place in May 1864. My ancestors with the 1st USCT helped build and defend this fort. They were Cpt. Judson Rice and Lt. Lewis Rice.
