Charles E. Zimmerman, of Market Street, Inkerman, Jenkins Township, died Wednesday afternoon, July 6, 1988 at home following an apparent heart seizure.

Born in Plymouth, he was a son of the late Nathan and Euphemia Marcy Zimmerman.

He resided in West Pittston and Hughestown for many years, prior to moving to Inkerman 25 years ago.

Mr. Zimmerman was employed as a miner for the Hudson Coal Co., Loomis Coal Co., and the Kehoe Berge Coal Co. until retiring in 1956.

He was preceded in death by a son, Donald in 1970.

Surviving are his wife, the former Bertha Hughes; daughters, Mrs. Catherine Jackson, Wyoming; Mrs. Thelma McClure, Colorado Springs, CO; Mrs. April Frame, Wyoming; sons, Charles, West Pittston; Robert, Brandon, Fla.; Thomas, Trucksville; Richard, Olyphant; Kenneth, at home; 26 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Nathan, Kingston; sister, Mrs. Althea Shamanski, New Brunswick, NJ.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. from the Metcalfe & Shaver Funeral Home, 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming with the Rev. Charles R. Peers, Langcliffe Presbyterian Church, Avoca, officiating.

Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
