Sunday tournaments only

Fishing derby.  Give awards at sight.

Breakfast-Monday Bagels, cereal, etc.

 

Rain suggestions

Move some games indoors

Move Sat. games to Sunday

Registration fees stay at $5.00

Costs-gifts and metals

 

Gino made a motion to buy a new shuffle board pucks Approx., $160.00

Seconded by Phil McGlynn.  Motion carried unanimously.

Mary Anne Defines/ Karaoke night

BYOB Karaoke tonight Sat 8-9-09

Mary Anne suggested a fund raiser for the Fire House

We could put out a jar and announce fund raiser through out the night.

Rich Rose said we can not have Fund raisers as a Rec. function.  All monies

Charged or raised must go to Rec.

Have a sign up for Karaoke 8:30 PM Adults only.

Motion to approve monies for coffee and cake for Karaoke night.

All approved the motion.  50/50 to go to Rec.

Jerry Besko sent a letter to the Rec. Committee, read by Allen Cucciniello.

Stating the Board will confer with the Tri Chairs of Rec. before

A decision is made that concerns Recreation.

 

Al Whitney made a motion to adjourn at Pat Mongaleri seconded it.

The next meeting will be August 29^th for the WLE games only at the AL at 10:00 AM

WLE POA  Recreation Committee Meeting

Aug. 8, 2009

 

The meeting was called to order at 10:05 AM by Vinnie Settepani.

Co-chairpersons Terry Cuccinello and Rich Rose were also persent.

 

The meeting was opened with the pledge to the flag.

There were 25 members of good standing in attendance.

 

The minutes of July meeting were read and accepted as read.

 

The financial report for July was not available.

Bank bal. total as of June 11, 950

Checking 6,699.50

CD 5,000

Petty cash 251.

 

Vinnie stated profit for July’s activites were

July 4^th 2,900.

Luau 1,000 (approx profit)

Bingo 577.

 

Old Business

Income 3,260. (includes 50/50)

Profit  1,081.53

 

Swim team-Sharon Haley and Nancy Moyer

Swim team went to Champs and participated in the carnival at Sierra View

Swim team received a $500. donation from the Miles family.  It was

Used to defray the cost to the swimmers only.

The swim team gift this year is a sweatshirt at the cost of $16.29 each.

$239.75 was spent on goggles and capes, swimmers than buy them and the money is put

Back into Rec.,

$278. was profit on 50/50 at the banquet.

165 people attended the Swim team banquet, catered by Ledgedale BBQ Pit

105 children or 65 families participated

Estimated expenses for 2010 swim suits, medals.

 

New Business

Labor day games, Swim team dinner recuited 4 families

Eliminate tennis and shuffleboard and bring the Sunday games to the ballfield in front of

Sept 12 will be the regular Rec. meeting 10:00 AM at the Adult Lodge.
