Longpond Springers - We have puppies!!

WE HAVE PUPPIES!! Lace was bred to Sam on May 14, 2005. On July 15th, Lace presented us with a fine litter of eight white and liver puppies. There were four females and four males in this litter. There are three male and one female puppies still available. These pups will grow into very flashy adults. They are white with liver heads with white blazes and various liver markings on their bodies. These pups may develop small liver colored spots (ticking) over their bodies. It's been a good summer at Longpond farm, in addition to our new litter, we've observed a number of wild-born broods of Bobwhite quail . There are 150+ ringnecks in our flight pen, and 100 or so quail that we will release in small groups every week. There are lots of birds available for training our adult dogs and for starting pups. Longpond Farm is located in NW Pa, 30 miles south of Erie. The Farm is registered as a Non-Commercial Regulated Shooting Ground. We manage our 176 acres for upland game hunting. We raise and release Ringneck Pheasants, and Bobwhite Quail annually. We plant food plots, shelterbelts, and manage grasslands for optimal cover. We do this because we love to hunt and because we need to show our dogs lots of birds for training purposes. By the time we actually gun our birds, they've been flushed many times by our dogs. I'm almost as proud of our birds as I am of our dogs. Lace's pups are ready for their new homes for folks who want quality, Field-Bred Springer Spaniels. Puppies are $500.00, and will have shots (except rabies) tails docked field length and dewclaws removed. We begin the socialization process on day three of each pup's life. The pups are handled and snugggled with by all the family members, and they are exposed to our five adult resident Springers throughout their time with us. Raising Springers is not our livelihood, but we have great breeding stock, and we've been at this for over 26 years. We love the breed, and can't imagine life without them! The link to the present litter's sire's (SAM) pedigree is:http://www.freewebs.com/workingspaniel/Sam's%20Web%20Pedigree.jpg. English field trial champions galore! The genetics just don't get much better than Sam's. We had a great gunning season last fall with our four gundogs (Rosie, Lace, Roter, and Belle) and there's a picture below taken after a successful hunt. Our dogs are great bird finders and natural retreivers that work equally well on land or water. We lost no birds last year, and our guests had nothing but praise for our dogs.
