Introduction
Hello and WELCOME on and all. My name is Karen a.k.a. APoeticDreamer. Over the past several years I have written poems to express the emotions of my heart and memories (however painful) from within my mind.What started out to be a simple project or so I thought has turned into an ongoing and ever growing collection of verses. When I started this, it was just a place for me to keep and place my thoughts. However, thanks to some very great and close friends, who convinced me to display my work it has grown and continues to do so.
I have tried to create a book-like set of pages with individual backs and at present I am searching for that special midi to compliment each chapter. If you have any suggestions, PLEASE, feel free the e-mail your selections along with their URL's.
Within these pages there are what I call Chapters or if you prefer (Categories). Each chapter holds 3 or more poems. At the end of each chapter you may find a text link which will take you as it turns to the next page. Sounds easy enough, don't you think?
There have been several changes made to my little web bound edition in the past several weeks. Hopefully for the better. The more I explore the vast web world the more I find it necessary to change, hence , that is why I say ever growing & changing edition.
About Me
For those of you who wish to know about this person called APoeticDreamer, WOW, this is going to be more difficult than designing my pages. Let me see, where do I start. Ok, some say I am a jack-of-all-trades, others may say indecisive, COMPLEX, stubborn, cold hearted, and a hard headed B*T*H (you know what I mean), who does not lack aggressiveness, is temperamental, some what of a loner, artistic, caring, tender, who has a great sense of humor and always above all else HONEST. This sometimes causes conflicts or hurt feelings for I always speak the truth as I know it to be and my mind. I am forcefully opinionated. Especially when I know I am right.
I am a single mother of two wonderful but always challenging young children, (adults) excuse me, that's what they refer to themselves as. My oldest Jawn (John) is soon to be 18. He's is very handsome, bright, opinionated like his mother and as stubborn & hard headed to boot. To say the least he is an everyday challenge and complex personality. However, Jawn is very affectionate & fun loving young man. Brittani, who just turned 15 but acts 20 is in ways the complete opposite her brother, but never the less just a complicated a personality. I must say she is HER MOTHERS CHILD. Although she is small in size compared to others her age, she more than makes up for it other ways, looks can be very deceiving. She is VERY aggressive, asserting, pushy, energetic, self-motivated, and OH YES MOUTHY. You could say SPIRITED. Her temper I have been told comes for the flaming red hair she was born with. However, I believe having me for a mother only intensifies this.
As you may see as you read, there have been several UPs and DOWNs throughout my life. Loves gained and then to no avail lost.
I have had a few meaningful careers over the last few years. One which I worked with Special Education children. My dreams of becoming a teacher have not as yet came true, but someday soon they may. I worked as a PCA (Personal Care Aide)/Teachers Assistant for the local school district. This position was very demanding at times, but always rewarding. I had the opportunity to work with some of God's most prized people. Regardless of their handicaps or disabilities, they never seizes to amaze me. I am embarking on a new career in the next few days and although I am quite nervous I know I will do my best to succeed, for I never give up or fail to finish what I have started. Wish me luck.
