I am a chat addict who finds his home on Starlink-IRC and can be found in #Newbies, #Chataway, #Celtic_Corners, and #Teranova as well as wandering around various other rooms using the nickname of gngrbrd. I started chatting around Christmas of 1998 and have been hooked since. In a little over a year I have gone from not knowing how to turn a computer on to being the channel owner of #Newbies, a teaching channel on Starlink-IRC, as well as one of Starlink-irc's IRCops.
Other hobbies of mine include: fishing, camping and of course gingerbread. I made my first gingerbread house in 1983 and have made thousands since then.
Irish music and culture is another love shared by myself and my family. Both of my children are Irish Step Dancers with The O'Grady School of Irish Stepdancing. Although our son has now decided he likes basketball. He still however would like to take bagpipe or borhan (irish drums) lessons heaven help us lol. Can u tell i'm a proud daddy. :o)
I graduated from Johnson & Wales Culinary School in 1982 and have been working in the food service industry since. I have spent time as a Chef in several resturants as well as working as a baker.
I guess i'm strange because i enjoy the high stress high paced activity of a busy kitchen. I guess it makes me enjoy my free time with family and friends more.
