The founders and staff of The Society of the Lost Poets would like to apologize, both to our readers and to our members, for how long it's been since this site was updated. Current life events involving the President and VP have interupted the current flow of updates. Thank-you for your patience.
Poetry is more than rhyming lines, it is the essence and substance of life.

Mission:
To not fall victim to the fate of normality; To express the feelings which most try to keep inside; To live, while our hearts still beat; To live deep, and suck the marrow from the bone of life; To write, live, and love; To be who we are.

We are gradually getting our pieces together and we will be posting them as they are collecting and written.

Unless otherwise specified, the name of the poet is/was their AOL screen name. However, this does not mean in any way that one must be an AOL user to be a member. It just so happens that most of our members are.
Use the pull down menu to visit each poets own section for their poems and get to know them through a mini survey.
New Section! The society is currently testing a message board. Here you can post a poem you may have written or if you are seeking advice for your poetic growth. Here our current Lost Poets may post their own poetry if they would like. If this does not seem to work (i.e. we get no posts or it doesn't seem popular) it will be taken off and we will find something else.
Formerly Upcoming Events!!!!!!
As our society grows, we are hoping to introduce events into our agenda.
Our first event was supposed to be a poetry reading, to be held in an AOL chat room.
However, due to the very low number of e-mails received, it has been cancelled. If there is enough interest, it will be rescheduled.
However, there has been no sign of this happening. Sorry for the disappointment.
