CARDCAPTOR SAKURA/CARDCAPTORS
*When young Sakura opened a book in her father’s library and accidentally released the Clow Cards, she never realized that her life would change forever. Guided by Keroberos, Sakura must gather the Clow Cards before they an do un-repairable damage. along with her rival, Li, Sakura manages to collect them all and pass the test, becoming the new Master of the Clow Cards. But it doesn’t end there. The original creator of the Clow Cards, reincarnated, arrives and unanimously tests Sakura, so she can transform the Cards into Sakura Cards, which them would channel their powers through her, their new master.
DIGIMON
*Eight children are chosen to protect another world, only this is not just any world. The Digital World, or DigiWorld, is totally inhabited by Digimon, or Digital Monsters, creatures with amazing powers. the eight partner Digimon of the DigiDestined have the power to evolve through several stages, getting more powerful with each stage, which comes in handy when facing an enemy who wants to take over the Digital World. After the battle, the Digimon will de-digivolve back into their normal forms. These digivolutions are made possible with the power from the mechanical digivices, the tags and crests, and the heart. Three to four years later, a few more kids join the team and new digivolutions take place. The new Digimon can digivolve using the DigiEggs and two Digi’s can merge into one bug one. The goal, though, is still the same: Protect the Digital and Real Worlds.
EXCEL SAGA
*On the outside she just might look like an ordinary girl, but on the inside, Excel Excel is aragingvolcanoofenergyandlife,puttingherwholeselfintowhatshedoes,beittrafficcontroller,toiletcleaner,orchasinghernextmeal. Excel works for the Secret Ideological Organization, known as ACROSS, run by Lord Ilpalazzo, who plans to take over the world and has started in the city of F in Japan. The group son acquires another member, Hyatt, a girl who mysteriously ended up on Earth and literally floated into the secret underground base, and Menchi, Excel’s “emergency food supply” dog. With two-faced aliens, annoying neighbors, an afro-guy who keeps popping in, assassination attempts on the original manga artist, lack of food, a new organization bent on protecting the city, and loads more, it’s amazing Excel’s still on her feet. (Barely).
HYPERDOLL
*Teens, Mew Fumazuki and Mica Minazuki, might look like ordinary high school girls, when in reality they’re monster-butt-kicking superheroes, sent to Earth from Central Galaxy. Though they are supposed to monitor Earth as humans and report back to their commander, and protect the planet as the duo Hyperdolls, Mew and Mica would rather just have fun. and although they get the job done, they usually cause more destruction in destroying the monsters than the monsters themselves did.
MAGIC KNIGHT RAYEARTH
*Three high school girls suddenly fund themselves in Cephiro, a land controlled by the will of its inhabitants. The pillar of Cephiro, who prays for the peace, had been locked away and the girls must don evolving armor and weapons, becoming Magic Knights, and save the kingdom. After a few surprising twists, the Knights are able to fulfill their quest and return to their world. But then they are summoned back to Cephiro when three other kingdoms each want to rule the unbalanced and pillarless kingdom. With some more surprising plot twists and surprises, the Knights face the challenges head-on and ultimately triumph.
SAILOR MOON
*A long time ago, there was a kingdom, Silver Millennium, on the Moon ruled by Queen Serenity. Everything was peaceful until the evil Negaverse attacked and destroyed the Silver Millennium. With the last of her power, Serenity sent her daughter, Princess Serenity, her court, and her two cat advisors to the future to be reborn in a new life. But that life as interrupted when the Negaverse returned, bringing more powerful enemies to take over Earth. But they had to deal with the Sailor Scouts, the reincarnated members of Serenity’s court, led by Sailor Moon (aka Serena; aka Princess Serenity). Battle after battle they fought until a couple years and a couple power-ups later, they were finally able to defeat the true enemy once and for all. A century later, Sailor Moon is now Neo-Queen Serenity, ruler of Crystal Tokyo, along with the Sailor Scouts.
