"Please Please Me" is the Beatle's debut album. They recorded directly onto the tape and finished the whole thing in only 12 hours. In general it is pretty good. Most of the Lennon-McCartney originals on this album are very good. The cover songs on the other hand, with the exception of "Twist and Shout" are mediocre at best. "I Saw Her Standing There" is a classic, a good rocker by Paul. "Misery" is pretty good. "Anna (Go To Him)" isn't all that good. "Chains" is okay. "Boys" is good but nothing special. "Ask Me Why" is a great song, that stands out on the album. "Please Please Me" is awsome it has a good beat and a catchy tune. "Love Me Do" is kind of stupid but it's catchy. "P.S. I Love You" is a nice song, with good lyrics. "Baby It's You" is pretty bad. "Do You Want To Know A Secret?" is one of the better songs on the album. "A Taste Of Honey" is decent. "There's A Place" is great the harmonica is cool. "Twist And Shout" is probably my favorite song on the album because of the energy imput and the quality of the perfomance. All in all "Please Please Me" was a good debut album for the fab four and a great way to showcase their talent.
