What About TMI 2 Cleanup Workers?

I just finished reading an article put in my local newspaper, " TMI Leak Caused No Cancer Deaths".
It went on to detail how studies were conducted on those living within five miles of the plant.
It detailed how no cancer deaths were connected with the accident of March 28, 1979.

This has angered me because my husband was just one of thousands of men and women
who risked their lives cleaning up that mess from 1982 through 1990.
He is a boilermaker out of Boilermakers Local 13, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

There were numerous contractors involved with this massive cleanup and recovery project. Other crafts included: iron workers, pipefitters, millwrights, laborers, and many more. GPU workers played a smaller role in the cleanup itself.

Not ONCE in the last 21 years have we heard of any study of any kind concerning these workers. NOT EVER! These were the men and women who risked their lives to clean up this awful mess and were exposed to radiation. There has been no compensation for these people like our president has in mind for those who worked at nuclear arms plants throughout the country. The worst part about this situation is that at least ten boilermakers out of the first group who worked on the cleanup now have cancer. My husband is one of those ten. And NO ONE seems to care.

For this reason, I have decided to do my own study. That is, to try and find out how many other men and women who worked during the cleanup now have cancer. Please contact me at Beeb50@AOL.com.. This study is LONG overdue. So please write as soon as possible.
