When I introducted myself to Feng Shui I was living in a less than desirable neighborhood, in a town filled with crime, poverty and negative energy. My house was next to an empty lot with dead trees, weeds, and the neighborhood trash. The neighbors were even filled with negative energy. A young couple with monetary and social problems, an elderly man and wife who thought all in the world were against them, and busy bodies in the other surrounding homes. My ears didn't hear birds, nature and wildlife... they heard gossip, hate and rudeness. I needed a change. Each morning I would wake with a clear mind, positive attitude and think today would be better, I would step onto the porch and take in a deep breath of ... The plastic factory located below my home. Something had to give, a glimmer of hope was needed. Then I discovered Feng Shui. Change my life be redecorating?? Well it was worth a try!
I was stuck in a stressful dead-end job, just recovered from mono, and rebounding financially from a divorce. How could moving around my furniture change my world? Well, since the black cloud was not limited to me, my mother and sister resided with me and their luck was not much stronger. My sister suffered from many physical ailments, undiagnosed by doctors, and my mother was recently a victim of violent crime and unable to work due to injuries sustained. They were willing to move some items with me!
We went to work, reading, moving, reading, moving and reading some more. Small changes were taking place so minute sometimes we didnt realize they occurred until days later.
Moving forward as a team we scrubbed, cleaned and rearranged; 8 months have passed and we are living in a very nice neighborhood, mom is employed and my sisters health has improved, my career has taken a turn and everyone "feels" renewed!
