Hieromartyr Alexander Hotovitsky of New York

A Russian priest in New York, St. Alexander was recalled to Russia and was made key-keeper of the original Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Moscow. He was martyred by the Communists as part of work by the communists to destroy what might have been the most beautiful church in all Russia. The building was recently rebuilt and consecrated in August, 2000; its consecration service was also the glorification service of the Royal Passionbearer Tsar Nicholas and his immediate family.
