Q:
By how much does trade good profit (well percentage anyway) go down when
a particular trade good is sold, and how many selling points galaxy wide
are there for each trade good?
Adrian Cooper
A: There are 8 buying colonies for each good. The one you are selling at goes down 35% of the purchase price while the other 7 go up 5% each. This keeps the average buying price of all the colonies at 200% of the purchase price.
Chris
Q: Can I sell for less than the purchase price (i.e. <100%)?
Doug
A: No, provided ships selling before you that turn at other locations do not raise it above 100% before you sell.

Q: How do I sell chocolate?
-Unknown
A: The same way you sell anything other trade good:
1) find a colony buying it
2) scrap it and find a factory or colony buying scrap
Just to make sure it's clear...'all' factories buy scrap at $25 and you can sell as many scrap as you want to a factory in one turn :-) Chocolate can be sold at Aurigae, Betelgeuse, Centauri, Cygni, Kruger, Markab, Pollux & Sirius

Q: When jumping to the Holiday planet, when does
it happen? At the start of the turn, or is it at the
end of the turn like a normal jump.
Ace of Texas
A: Jumping to the holiday planet occurs at the same time as a normal jump, so you can't dodge a combat by heading there.
~Free Will
Q. What happens if you run out of energy?
Adrian Cooper
A: Your crew deserts until your income = your expenditures
Doug
Q: I'm broke and can't jump anywhere, what can I do?
Adrian
A: You can sell modules to get enough energy for a jump, or sell off your life-support to kill off your crew, freeing up energy for a jump. You can also beg for handouts from passers-by.

Doug
Q: I think I'm playing badly, should I restart?
Adrian Cooper
A: I know players don't want to hear it, but if you are in an impossible situation then you should reset. If you've been playing 20-30 turns and ranked lower than 100, it porbably should be given serious consideration.
Chris
Q: Can you chase through stargates?
Doug
Adrian
A: Sure. If you either 1) have the right key or b) can improvise one :-)

Q: I thought Med. modules cost $400. I just bought one
at $208. Why? (95%)
Drover Brockett
A: Once a shop has improved the quality (reliability) of mod to the maximum possible (95%) for the shop, it begins discounting the price until the module is sold or reaches half the book value of the mod, whichever happens first.
