Go to your "My eBay". You can
then set the default to view all your auctions in the past 30 days. Find
the item you are dealing with and both the seller & winning bidder IDs will
be shown on that item description page. With Ebay's new email system, your
involvement in a transaction determines how you may contact other members.
- Active items: Sellers: You can see all bidders' email
addresses
- Ended items:
- Sellers: You can see the winning bidder's email addresses
- Winning bidders: You can see the seller's email address
- Non-winning bidders & registered users: You can contact other
members via eBay's new email service.
Members will be provided with the
opportunity to send messages to other members through the Contact an eBay Member
feature (available by clicking on a member's ID). Messages received by your
recipient(s) will contain your email address so the response will be sent
directly to you. This feature can also be used to contact a seller during an
on-going auction if you do not wish to use the "Ask the seller a question"
feature. Also Winning parties may use this feature if they are having difficulty
making contact through their normal email account, IF they are not signed in. If
you are a winning party of an auction, you must be signed out to access this
feature.
If the auction ended between 30 and 90 days ago, and you
have not yet left feedback, go to the top of the page to the navagational bar.
Click on "Services">>Feedback Forum and scroll down to "2. Leave Feedback
About An Ebay User - see all pending comments at once". You should be able to
find your item that way and obtain the user ID through the description page.
If it has been more than 90 days since the close of the auction in
question - sorry, you are out of luck as far as using the Feedback Forum for
research purposes. However, you may be able to leave Feedback for items up to
120 days, depending on their availability in the eBay database, by including the
item number through the link at the bottom of the Leave Member Feedback page.
Once you have found the appropriate Auction number and ID, you can
e-mail your party and request them to re-mail their real life address if you
need that.
If this is not connected with an eBay transaction, or your item is too old
and out of the data base, you can try searching through a people finder
search engine. There are many available that can be found by doing a quick
Internet Search.
