Iraqis Re-elect Saddam
According to Izzat Ibrahim, vice chairman of the Revolutionary Command
Council, every single one of Iraq's 11,445,638 elligible voters cast a
ballot in the country's recent referendum. Current President Saddam Hussein
was re-elected carrying 100% of the vote, since he was the sole candidate
on the ballot.
The White House quickly dismissed the vote, because, for there to have
been a full voter turn-out, Iraq would have had to collect ballots from

"Obviously, it's not a very serious day, not a very serious vote
and nobody places any credibility on it," said press secretary Ari
Fleischer of the elections.

in a nuclear weapon. According to an unnamed source, Pyongyang no longer
thinks that they are to be held to the provisions of an anti-nuclear agreement
signed during the Clinton administration.
