Karloff has quickly become one of my favorite actors. His
on screen presence is unbelievable. Nobody can be evil as
well as he can. Karloff, as he was simply know back in the 30's through 50's, is best know for his portrayel as the Frankenstein Monster in the 1931 classic, Frankenstein. But Frankenstein was Karloff's 81st film. Karloff was in over 180 films in his lifetime, an unbelievable accomplishment. The more I see of Karloff, the more I enjoy watching his work. Even if the movies are not the best, his performance is always great. He is definitly the greatest horror actor that has ever graced the big screen. It's hard to pick my favorite Karloff movie, but I'll say that nobody did the Monster as well as Karloff did. I guess I have to say that I enjoy the Frankenstein Trilogy the best, Frankenstein, Bride of . . ., and Son of . . .. Just the way Karloff portrayed the Monster as maybe anything but a monster is really something that nobody has copied since. Below are the movies that I have or saw that star Karloff.
