Our 1st Impala Project

Welcome to our online photo album.

Please be patient, We have a lot of pictures for you.

We bought this one in 1995 and it is now virtually complete. We'll show you what this one looks like now and what it took to get it there.

Further down you'll see our second project.

This is all being supervised by ROCKY

THE START OF THE RE-RESTORATION

We did all the prep work ourselves.

(with the help of my sister & brother-in-law)

Notice the black firewall, the previous owner sprayed everything.

Engine and transmission - a little filthy!

Probably the 1st time they have ever been out of the car.

All new seals, steamcleaned, wirebrushed, and degreased.

Waiting to go back in the car.

On the way to Al Schmidt's paint shop.

Schmidt's Auto Body Hershey,Pa.

Al is giving it a good shot of new paint.

Back home

ALL FINISHED in less than 1 year

Our 2nd Impala Project

We bought this car in 1999 and the restoration is now beginning. When it is finished it will be an identical twin to our first one.

We plan to update this site as we make progress.

When we first brought it home, it looks better than it really is.

Battery charger cord and fuel line are life support lines.

A little rough around the edges!

That is not a sunvisor, We put the hood on the roof so we wouldn't scratch the paint.

Notice how clean the windows are.

Pulled the engine and tranny May 28, 2000

And here is the work horse.
