After surviving his first breeding season, we decided to geld Troika. We were very, VERY happy with his first foal, EM Troika's Piccolo Pete, as well as his second, EM Troika's Maggie. After that season, we were pretty much pooped. Besides, we don't really have the facilities for too many babies and it just broke our hearts to see him split up from the others. So we made the decision, and had him cut. Nonetheless, he still has his unique personality that makes him who he is...our baby. Many thanks go out to Larry, Maryann, and Brianna Cerullo of Miniature Ventures for allowing us to own such a wonderful horse!

Little Piccolo didn't get a long chance at life. He was born full of heart and moved on the same way. Piccolo tried his best to survive and put up a very good fight. Just 1 month into his life, he suffered from a "kink" in his intestine. After weeks of extreme medications and shots every few hours, he pulled through 100%. Sadly, I went out to the barn one morning to find him in pain again and we just didn't want to put him through anymore. We made the tough decision to let him go. We miss our dear little Piccolo.
