Dating Tips

The following are some good dating tips to keep in mind. It's best to be cautious when dealing online (or offline) dating situations.
*** Don't use your personal email address, rather, use one of the freebies like yahoo, hotmail, dogmail, etc.
***Also, don't use your work email. Many people have had a difficult time because they made this mistake. If something happens and it doesn't work out, you face the possibility of an angry personan sending nasty or revealing emails to your workplace.
***If you decide to meet someone, it's a great idea to meet in public and to bring a friend along. Another good idea is to meet at a charity event such as a walkathon, litter cleanup, etc. This way you are meeting in a public place, you have a good conversation starter(the event you're at) and you're helping a good cause.
***Hold off on giving out your phone number. Aside from the obvious problem, people can also get your address if they have your number.
***Don't lie about yourself-looks, hobbies, age, etc. Sure, it's ok to stretch the truth abit. But remember, if you say you have an athletic body and they meet you and find out your 40lbs over-weight, they're going to be disappointed. Also, saying you like to do something because they do can get you into trouble. I know a guy who professed to liking opera, and had a miserable time when their first date was one!
***Hold-off on saying things like "I'm falling for you" or "I love you" during your online chats and emails. Although you might think you feel this way, you may change your mind when seeing this person. It's noble to say "looks aren't important", but in reality they are. How many people fantasize about making love to someone's mind or brain!?!?!
***Try placing your personal ad in as many of the services as possible. Almost all have free services or trial periods, and the more places you place your ad, the better your chances of finding that special someone. And isn't that what this is all about?

Maybe I didn't love you
Quite as often as I could have
And maybe I didn't treat you
Quite as good as I should have

If I made you feel second best
Girl I'm sorry I was blind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
