PRETEND VERSUS REALITY

I try not to call you,

But my ears scream out.

They want to hear your voice.

I try not to look at you,

But my eyes burn,

They again look your way.

I try not to think about you,

But my mind wanders,

Once again, you're always there.

I tell myself I'm not allowed to fall for you,

But my heart cries out,

I feel myself hit the bottom.
