Hoping for a reason to smile through my invisible tears
They roll constantly down my face
Having no reason to stop
No one else can see them
I feel them flow like a river
Flooding my face
Some days more than others
But always there

They roll silently
Expressing themselves only to me
Each tear has her own reason
Never trusting anyone
Always silently watching
And flowing from a distance
Afraid to stop long enough to trust
Scared they will only cause even more
My tears flow constantly
They are invisible to everyone
They fall silently
Apart from the rest of the world
