FANTASY

Late at night I look up at the stars

Each one shining brightly

They trap my mind and I find myself in a fantasy...

My fantasies are filled with so many hopes

I hope to meet the one true love

To find someone to love the rest of my life

To be so close to someone it feels like one

To have my breath swept away every time our eyes meet

To pour my heart out and be loved

To feel as if I belong, for once

Lightening flashes and I wake from my fantasy

All I see is hurt

All I feel is pain

I feel as though I don't belong

I feel so unloved

So undesired

As the rain pours,

I hold on to the hope

The hope that one day my fantasy

Will become reality
