So you say that you like music? Well this is a list of bands and their web pages that I am compiling. Do you have a band? Send me a link and if I think you're cool enough, I'll add you to the list.

And now without further interuption....The List

Fenix Tx is a punk group that is just starting to become popular among mainstream listeners. Their first album which is self titled, is quite awesome. The web page is new and there really isn't a great deal of information on it, but you should check it out anyway.

Goldfinger is one of my favorite punk bands. Like so many others, they hail from sunny California. Their latest release (Stomping Grounds) is okay, but I would recommend their self-titled disk and Hang-ups over Stomping Grounds anyday.

I don't think that I need to say much about this group. Who hasn't heard of them??

Jimi Hendrix, the God of guitar. If you don't at least respect him as a guitar player, then you should never listen to music again. As a matter of fact, just cut off your ears right now. Go ahead, I'll wait.

MxPx is yet another awesome punk band. They have a multitude of good albums available, and all three members of the group are my age. How cool is that?

Okay, Okay. I know that Def Leppard is an "80's Band". But I got into them when I was younger and hey, they still know how to rock out even in their old age. If you've heard any of their songs a long time ago and liked them, why not give some of their other stuff a listen.... you may actually like it.

Aztek Trip is a cool alternative band that I came to like after hearing them live on my local alternative radio station. They are from Allentown, PA, but it seems that a large portion of their fan base is from Connecticut. They have two albums out, the first being a 5 track disk and the second being the real cd. Every one that I've turned Aztek Trip on to has liked them.

Mest is an awesome punk band that I started liking after I heard their first single was released. They were discovered by John Feldmann of Goldfinger. Mest has a sound that is kind of like a cross between Goldfinger and MxPx.

Reel Big Fish is a cool punk/ska band that is great for listening to at parties. Almost all of their songs are upbeat, so naturally they make you happy.

These kids can really rock. They're pretty big in their local scene ( from what I hear). I learned of them from bandmember Mitch aka Morton from his punk e-zine. Check em out now, and you can say that you heard them before they made it big.

Who hasn't heard of NOFX? I mean come on....they've been around since 1983 for god's sake. You haven't heard punk until you've heard NOFX.

Bran Van 3000 is like nothing that I have ever head before. It has been categorized as "Trip Hop". Call it what you want, it still rocks.

Barenaked Ladies (in case you've been under a rock for the past three years) is an awesome Canadian band that has continuously produced hit songs. Also, we're friends with their former bodyguard Bill. They have a new album scheduled for release on 9/12.

Twisted Sister is one of those groups that no one can forget. Who'd want to?? Even to this day, the sounds of "We're not gonna take it" can be heard ringing through college dorm halls. If you don't hear it, maybe you should consider finding a new school. Anyway, Dee Snider currently has a radio show in Connecticut on Radio 104. If you haven't heard the show, I highly recommend it. Just a FYI - you screw with Dee, you screw with the masses in Connecticut. Long live Rock n' Roll.

Iron Maiden defines Heavy Metal music. Ever since hearing "Run to the hills", I've been hooked. I can't say enough good things about this band. Now that Bruce Dickinson is back, these guys rock as hard as they did eight years ago. Also, they have the absolute best artwork of any band that I have ever seen before. Here's just one example .
