Elves
Many a warrior has been shot dead from arrows that seemingly come out of nowhere. Some say the trees themselves shoot arrows from thir very bark. It is not the trees but the elves that do this deed. The elves live in forests around Tantagel, and an elf would much prefer to fight in a forest than anywhere else. It's been said that a group of 25 elves defeated an army of 120 men while fighting them in the forest. An elf can blend in with the trees, and thusly avoid detection altogether. They live in houses built high in the canopy of forests, where they make their villages.
An elf is by far the best at using a bow and arrow. It is said that hadling this weapon comes as naturally to them as if it were in their blood. No one can out-shoot an elf, some say. Then again, those some usually happen to be elves. Elves aren't big on heavy weaponry like a human or giant would be, but when it comes to a bow, and elf can handle it better than most.
Eleven elders have passed down ancient ways from generation to generation, writing each word down on scrolls. This scribing ability also comes naturally to many elves, and elven Magi are also common. Light Elves mostly use Light, Water, and Air Magic, while Dark Elves tend to prefer Dark, Fire, and Earth Magic. Elves are good farmers, and even better hunters. A slightly common site to see in forests and villages across Tantagel is the elven Soldier. However, instead of using the human Knight Code, they use the Code of the Ancient Ones, which regards Nature more highly than anything else, including the life of an innocent.
