Are YOU a Victim of Domestic Abuse?
Does Your Partner ...
1. Embarrass you with put downs or indifference?
2. Look at you or act in ways that scare you?
3. Control what you do, who you see or talk to, or where you go directly or indirectly?
4. Stop you from seeing your friends or family members?
5. Take your money, make you ask for money, or refuse to give you money?
6. Make all or none of the decisions?
7. Tell you that you're a bad parent, a failure, or threaten to take away or hurt your children?
8. Prevent you from working or attending school?
9. Act like the abuse is no big deal, it's your fault, or even deny doing it?
10. Destroy your property or threaten to kill your pets?
11. Intimidate you with guns, knives, other weapons or even guilt?
12. Shove you, slap you, strangle you or hit you?
13. Accuse you of having affairs or being unfaithful?
14. Threaten to commit suicide?
15. Threaten to kill you?
If you answered "yes" to even one of these questions, you may be in an abusive relationship. TELL SOMEONE YOU TRUST! Tell the police, a pastor or clery, your boss, a neighbor ... ANYONE! Don't become another statistic. Take ACTION!
