Game of the Week- (as of 11.27.02)-

Royals vs. Knightraiders (One game elimination round):

          These two teams met the night before, and the Knightraiders shut the Royals out 2-0, so I expected another good game. Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed.

          The Royals struck first with 2 quick goals by Jeremiah Jaroch and Steve Leitch to take a 2-0 lead early in the game. It took a while for the Knightraiders to warm up, but they got within one on a rebound goal by Brian DiTomo that got by Royals’ netminder Chris Bevenour. Then the tide seemed to turn for the Knightraiders, and they eventually got the game-tying goal late in the third by Jay Curley.

Unfortunately for the Knightraiders, the tide turned in favor of the Royals once again, and they scored the next three goals (two by Steve Leitch and one by Nakia Yuille) to take a 5-2 lead. And that would end up being all they would need to defeat them. The Royals now advance to face the Brahma Bulls in Round 2 in a best of three. Good luck to both teams!
