Burdell left high school in his senior year to obtain employment as a Sample Fabricator, Keystone Lamp Manufacturing Co. Remained at the company in the position of Production Control Manager until its closing in 1989. Worked for the new Management Co.in Mississippi for one year until obtaining employment at Vic's Time, a metal fabrication plant where he works until the present time. He is very active in his church where he has served as councilman and president and still serves as property chairperson, Sunday School teacher, and supply lay preacher. Is also active in community of Bowmanstown where he has served several terms as President of Borough Council. His other civic involvements include Lions Club and Masons. Vice-Pres. of Steigerwalt Reunion 1974; President of Steigerwalt Reunion 1975-?
His dream for the Steigerwalt Reunion is to serve the family in efforts for this family to continue to value its heritage and continue to instill this value in its children and grandchildren.
