How to Survive in Paintball

Basically, the way to survive in paintball is to not get shot; but that's easier said then done. There is a lot of things that can lead to a longer paintball life in the game. These should give you a general example of the things that I am talking about.

This is Superior Camoflauge

Of course, camoflauge can lead to a longer life in a paintball game because it makes it hard for your enemy to see you. Even though it was almost pointless to put this up here, I see people go out to play in jeans and once, a person in green sweatpants and a green plaid jacket. Almost every single time I go to play, I see a person without camo. So hopefully this will help you realize that you should go buy some cheap camo at a Surplus store or something.

Moving Under Cover

When advancing/moving, the best way to do it is to be under cover the entire time. Of course, everytime people move, they move to cover; but moving through a trench or moving through tall grass (as this guy in the picture is doing) is the best way to move around. So, to survive longer, stay under cover as much as possible. This way the enemy can't see you as well as being well protected. NOTE: A position in a trench or tall grass is also a good choice because you have superior cover over the enemy's. This way you can move away from dangerous fire (if you have to) and be well protected at the same time.

RUN!! When the Game Starts

If you don't run to your position at the start of the game, then you will lag behind and probably won't get to your position in time. This leads to an early death and a losing scenario for your team. If one man dies early, then thier plans are screwed up for that game. When you here the whistle or whatever signals the start, run to your position and help out your team.

Don't Shoot From The Same Spot

When you are behind a bunker, and your enemy is behind a bunker, and you are both shooting at each other, usually you will always pop up at the same spot to shoot at the enemy. If you always show your face in the same spot in your bunker when attacking an enemy, the enemy will train his gun in that spot so the next time you pop up and show your face again, you are dead. The person in the pictures above is sort of doing what I am talking about. She positioned herself lower than the time before, making it harder for the enemy to aim at a different spot. The enemy's shots will be less accurate if you continually pop out of your cover at a different spot EVERYTIME because he has to aim in a different place. It's common sense. When behind a bunker, pop out of a different corner to shoot at your enemy so it makes it harder for the enemy to hit you.

Bushes Are Good Cover Too

A bush is just as good as a bunker as long as your enemy doesn't see you. I know a bush doesn't give you as good cover as a bunker because paint sprays through the bush on your mask, and because the tougher balls go through the bush and hit you; but all this won't happen if the enemy doesn't see you. You can use a bush as perfect camoflauge while you wait for your chance to advance on the enemy or another bunker. Use bushes as a hiding place, or as a midpoint between the bunker you are trying to advance to. Don't try to make the long run to the next bunker.

REMEMBER: The smaller/less thick the bush, the more you have to remain still in order for the enemy to not see you.
