2003 - Osbaldiston has returned to play his 18th season with the Tiger Cats
2002 - Osbaldiston had an injury this year so he did not have his best year. Even with his injury though, he did manage to finish the year with a 56.6 kickoff average, and a 34.4 field goal average. Osbaldiston still played in 16 out of 17 games with his injury with help of his team mates.
2001 - Osbaldiston currently holds 27 regular season team records. He is 2nd on the leagues career regular season list with 610 field goals, and is 3rd on the CFL regular season list with 2,693 points. Osbaldiston is 8th in league career playoff scoring with 138 points, and 3rd in the CFL with 63 points in Grey Cup games. Paul is the TigerCats career scoring leader with 2,620 points. Holds the Tigercat career record with 264 games played, and is 3rd in the leagues career list with 252 consecutive games played. Osbaldiston has played all 18 regular season games from 1988 - 2001. This year he was named the CFL All-Canadian kicker for the 2nd time, and the East Division All Star kicker for the 6th time. He made 47 out of 58 attempted field goals for 81%. The 4th consecutive year he has had 80% or more. He also had 34 converts and 8 singles this year. 2000 - Osbaldiston was voted the East Division All Star Kicker for the 5th time. He was 3rd in the CFL with a 43.8 yard average on 123 punts. Had a single season high of 37.1-yard net punting average. He was 5th in the league with 178 points. He had 43 field goals in 53 attempts, and was 2nd in the CFL with a 81.1% on field goal attempts. He also had 42 converts and 7 singles this year. He averaged 57.1-yards on 76 kickoffs. Ozzy had a career long 88-yard punt for a single on July 14th in Edmonton against the Eskimos, had 5 field goals in 7 attempts, plus 4 converts for a season high of 19 points on September 23rd against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Had 5 field goals of 6 attempts and 2 converts for 17 points on August 11 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Had 3 field goals for 3 attempts, 4 converts, a single on a season long of 81 yards kickoff, 5 punts for a 44.4-yard average and 6 kickoffs for a 70-yard average September 16th against the Calgary Stampeders. 1999 - Currently is tied for 3rd on the CFL all-time scoring list with 2,294. Ozzy finished the season in 1st place for the CFL scoring chart for 1999. He obtained 206 career points for 1999 (as of Nov 6/99), Hamilton's all-time leading scorer with 2221 pts, 3rd in CFL field goal list with 476, holds the TigerCat record for most consecutive games played by a Tigercat. Osbaldiston has played all 18 games/season since 1988 including and up until present. Holds the distinction of recording the first punt ever in regular season overtime. On Thursday, August 19,1999, Osbaldiston dressed for his 217th game, as a TigerCat, beating Garney Henley's record of 216. This year, Ozzy's longest field goal was made on Friday October 1st in Calgary, when he kicked a 53 & also a 55 yard field goal and made it perfectly! As of November 6, 1999, Ozzie has achieved 84 Punts for 3562 Yards, which makes his punting average 42.4, 63 converts attempted and no misses for a percentage of 100%, has made 43 field goals, and 11 singles. Ozzy has made 48 kickoffs for 2853 yards for an average of 59.4. His longest kickoff so far this year has been a 91 yarder. (oct 24/99)
1998 - Week #6 in Edmonton, Ozzy became the 4th player in CFL history to score 2,000pts, joining the executive club on a 46-yard FG, Week#11 in Montreal, Ozzy's 3 field goals increased his career total to 466, enabling him to move into 3rd on the CFL's all-time list, kicked the winning FG in the eastern final in Hamilton vs Montreal, a 54-yarder on the final play of the game, to send Hamilton to the Grey Cup in Winnipeg.
1997 - Week #16 in Calgary, Ozzy nailed a mammoth 57-yard field goal which ties a club record set by Bernie Ruoff in Calgary on July 20,1984, and repeated by Osbaldiston in Winnipeg on November 4,1990.
1996 - Voted an All-Eastern Division and All-Canadian all-star, also Hamilton's nominee for Most Outstanding Canadian,ranked 1st in punting average (43.9),2nd in net punting (35.7),and 3rd in points (178),On September 22 in Ottawa, Ozzy scored all of the teams points and tied a CFL record with 8 field goals, the final one allowed Paul to pass Bernie Ruoff and move into 5th place on the CFL all-time scoring list.
1995 - averaged 44.4 yards/punt, the highest single-season average of his career and also set a personal best for net punting average (36.7)
1994 - ended the season with 40 Converts, 43 Field Goals, and 20 singles for a combined total points of 189. He ended the season with an average of 56.5.
1993 - kicked the longest punt of his career, an 84-yarder
1992 - Set a personal best for most converts made in one season with 52
1991 - booted the longest kickoff of his career at 100 yards
1990 - Winner of the Lew Hayman trophy as Most Outstanding Canadian in the Eastern Division, selected an eastern division all-star, led the league in field goal percentage (83.9) completing 52 of 62 attempts, Winner of the Molson Lite Tiger-Cat Player Of The Year.
1989 - Selected an Eastern Division all-star, had the highest single season output of his career, setting personal bests for points (233), field goals (54), and singles (24) in a season, his 233 points set a CFL record for most points in one season (now tied in 1990 by B.C)
1988 - Paul had the highest kickoff average of his career, averaging 59.0 yards/kick.
1987 - Ozzy split the uprights from long range quite a bit, averaging a single season high of 41.8 yards/field goal, rejoined the TigerCats in 1987 after being released after Hamilton's 1987 training camp, and having been worked out at the Green Bay Packers 1987 Training camp.
1986 - was origninally drafted by the B.C. lions, Osbaldiston played in 3 regular season games for B.C, 5 games for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and 9 games with Hamilton, Osbaldiston was selected as Hamilton's 1986 Scheneley Nominee as the Rookie Of The Year In The Eastern Division, also selected as the 74th Grey Cup Game's Most Outstanding Canadian Player after matching a CFL Grey Cup record for most field goals (6) in Hamilton's Grey Cup Championship victory.

"Ozzy" is my favourite player on the team, and I maintain this site mainly as a tribute to him, but also to keep Ti-Cat fans informed on the team, games, scores, photos etc. Unfortunately, Paul has retired but he had one great career! I have had the extreme pleasure of having the chance to meet Ozzy many times, and he is nothing less than an amazing and special person to me, which you can see by my smile in the picture at the top of this page. I consider him to be a friend of mine, not just a football player. I hope that we remain friends forever because his friendship means a lot to me. Osbaldiston really goes out of his way to make time for all his fans and friends. He is a great player and more importantly, a great person and I am honored by being the only one who made a web site for a person like him. I will be updating this page often, with new links, news, photos, and anything I can get of interest to CFL and Tiger Cat fans.
