I hail from Perry County, Pennsylvania (no jokes,
please…and I do NOT pronounce this place "Purry"
County). This rural community is about 20 miles north
of Harrisburg. When I realized there was limited culture in
this "off the beaten track" community, I moved to Hampden
Township on the west shore of the Susquehanna River.
Central Pennsylvania is a beautiful place to live and
is so convenient to many metropolitan areas in the
northeast (1 hour form Baltimore, 1.5 hours from
Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., 3 hours from New
York City, and 3.5 hours from Pittsburgh).
I work for Highmark Inc., a nationwide health
insurer. Additionally, I am a member of the adjunct
faculty at Harrisburg Area Community College, I work part time at PNC Bank and Hershey Park, and I
volunteer for many charitable organizations.
