BRANDYWINE

Hi ! My name is Bailey and I'm a yellow lab who is of the Fox Red coloration. I live in a small town in Pennsylvania with my "Dad" and I'm out of Mateer Labs Kennel in Slippery Rock, Pa.

You may have seen my old page that was done at the time I was a puppy but I have now updated things. As you can see I am no longer a small dog

[I'm now a teenager].

I have quite a few friends as you will see from my pictures . They are Jen and Justin [the other two teenagers of the household] and my good buddie Penny{a golden retriever who is Irish red color}. Penny and I live close together and she comes to visit often or I go to play with her at her house.

Right now I am still growing and I'm close to 90lbs. I stay in the house but love to play outdoors. I haven't had too much of a chance to swim as yet, but they tell me I will love it when we go this spring or summer.

I have been to puppy class and one obedience class but I'm kind of spoiled right now. We are going to work real hard on training this spring as I want to be able to go and hunt with "Dad" and Justin next year. I missed out on it this year because of being too young. I do retreive well in the house and do pretty good outside on a long lead but I like to run too much and so I don't get off the lead very often. There are too many cars around here and I don't want to get hurt.

As you can see from the pictures I like to look out the front window and watch the people outside. I think its great but the window gets pretty messy sometimes and I have to get somone to clean it for me. I also like to lay on the couch. I know that is a no-no in some places, but I have my own little blanket and I know where to lay and not get into trouble.

Like most Labs I love to chew. I have a couple of favorite chew toys in the house and I love to tease the people by bringing their shoes to them and watching them get all panicky thinking I might chew them up. It's just and game of retrieve to me and I think they play it pretty well!!

One other great thing about chewing is that Jen works in a pet store so I always have something neat to eat. Did you know they make cookies just for dogs? I love em and get to sample the new ones quite often.
