Enlisted as a Private, May 24, 1862 in 1st Virginia Partisan Rangers, Co. A, at Staunton, by Col.. Imboden.
Listed as Present on July 3, 1862.
1st Virginia Partisan Rangers became the 62nd Mounted Infantry.
Enlisted January 1, 1863 in the 18th Virginia Cavalry, Co. E, at Williamsville by Capt. Ervin.
Listed as Present January-February, 1863.
Paid October 31, 1863.
September-October, 1864 listed as absent sick wounded as member of Co.G.
Paroled May 24, 1865 at Staunton.
Height: 5’ 9”. Dark complexion. Hair: Black . Eyes: Grey.
Post-war Farmer. Died January 12, 1901.
Buried Little Valley, Bath Co., VA.
