Too Many Roads?

Too many roads? When environmental or conservation groups speak about the Allegheny National Forest having too many roads, THIS is specifically what they are talking about.

The following aerial pic's are aerial photos of places in the Allegheny National Forest.

Most roads are built for oil and gas extraction,
but others are for logging.

Some hunters don't mind the "easy" access to their favorite spots.

Each dot is a clearing around an oil well head.

It's hard to imagine that they need the wells so close to each other.

How many oil well sites in this "square mile"?

In this shot you can see the obvious newer well sites as well as a few from years past. Also note how complete the tree removal was.
