2018 Marilla Earth Day Clean up!

Earth Day clean up of Marilla

On Saturday April 21st 2018, Allegheny Outdoor Adventures and friends will be doing our "usual" clean up of the Marilla Reservoir area. We have done this clean up for Earth Day weekend for the past five years! We will clean around the reservoir (The Marilla Bridges Trail) and perhaps some sections of the Marilla Springs trail. Maybe even the White Pines Trail if we have enough volunteers.

The Marilla Reservoir and surrounding area and trails is very beautiful, and it's the volunteers and concerned citizens that help keep it clean and neat for others to enjoy.

We will meet at the Marilla Reservoir covered bridge at 10 AM (Sharp!) on Saturday, April 21st 2018. We will probalby pick up litter for about 2 hours. So plan on this earth day hike/litter pick up to last until about noon or slightly more. It will depend on turnout.

All participants will be responsible for their own safety. We would recommend waterproof boots, gloves, and a litter pickup stick if you have one (I believe the dollar tree sells them).

So come on out and bring your family and friends! This will be a great family friendly event that could help teach your younger children about environmental stewardship, or environmental protection.

PS-There are some great leek patches along the Marilla Springs Trail!

So bring your leek digging tools if you like early season leeks! This will be the first weekend for full size leek digging!
