HOT HOT HOT 17 April 2009, I received an e-mail from Thom Kirkpatrick last week about there being a 1097th Reunion this coming October. After a few e-mails with John Crenshaw I have the basic details, 9-12 October 2009, Columbus Day Weekend in the Ft Eustis/Newport News area. I am planning on attending and would like to make a humble request, if anyone has any scanned copies of their pics from any era of the 1097th and would like to share them please give them to me and I will add them on the page. The longer I keep this page going them more I want it to by OUR page and not MY page. I will update with more details as I get them.
Something else that's been on my mind for a few years, contact information on the Raiders of the Past list. For a long time I have wanted to include contact information for those that wanted their contact information listed. Once down side to this is people who you don't want to have your contact information have a way to get it and pester you. The decision is 100% yours. If you want your e-mail or snail mail address listed under your profile in theRaiders of the Past let me know stating this and I will post as you desire. I would also like an updated profile if you so desire so I can also update this at the same time. It you want this please E-mail Sean or E-mail Tom.
20 Feb 2009 - I have been meaning to make an update on the site for awhile but just never seemed to find the time. I have retired from the Army since Oct 2008. I am working for a company called EDS which runs the intranet system for the entire Navy and Marine Corps. Libidia and I are still trying for a baby. Makayla is in the accelerated learning program in the 5th grade. Both Libidia and I are working full time and plan on staying in the Newport News area of Virginia until Makayla graduates from High School and after that we are thinking of moving to Wyoming. After a family vacation in Yellowstone in 2007 we both fell in love with the climate there. I guess that is all for now.

PS: I also changed my bio and the raiders of the past links to be html pages instead of htm pages. I found not everyone can surf an htm page but pretty much everyone can surf an html page. I also plan on fixing many of the pic threads that I had to get rid of when I lost one of my servers. I will redo the entire pages and upload the pics. I am pretty sure I still have the scans of the original pics but if I do not I will have to scan them again and post them. No clue on a start date or a finish date for this but it's on my "to do" list.
If anyone has a better pic of the 1097th logo seen above please e-mail it to me. Hey old timers, I'd love to add your stuff as well so please send it to me. E-mail is fine or if you choose snail mail, I can deal with that too. I will start tracking down some of you former Raiders out there so that I can steal your pictures and add them to the page. Look out, I'm coming!
