In May of 1996 our family was devasted when a disease called meningitis came and claimed the life of our only son,who was a apecial neeeds child. He had just had his 16th birthday less than a month before his death. Our youngest daugther was also stricken with this disease along with her brother. She however did not only survive but is healthy today. In the stories and poems in the following pages you will read how this effected my life and the feelings and emotions I went through during and after this time. I am in hopes these writings may help others who may go through hard times. I will share also many things I have learned about this disease and how you may able to possibly prevent the things happen to you that happened to me.

I am beginning a foundation in memory of my son and will be collecting money to help the charities my son loved to help. All money collected will be given to the charities in his memory. the charities we support are Easter Seals, Childrens Miracle Network, Muscular Dystrophy, and Meningitis foundation of America.
