Chapters )

They painted up your secrets
With the lies they told you
And the least they ever gave you
Was the most you ever knew

And I wonder where these dreams go
When the world gets in your way
What’s the point in all this screaming
No one’s listening anyway

Your voice is small and fading
And you hide in here unknown
And your mother loves your father
’Cause she’s got nowhere to go

And she wonders where these dreams go
’Cause the world got in her way
What’s the point ever trying
Nothing’s changing anyway

They press their lips against you
And you love the lies they say
And I tried so hard to reach you
But you’re falling anyway

And you know I see right through you
When the world gets in your way
What’s the point in all the screaming
You’re not listening anyway

Angel

I Will Come To You )

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it OK
There´s always some reason to feel not good enough
And it´s hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction or a beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
Let me be empty and weightless and maybe
I´ll find some peace tonight

In the arms of the Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you feel
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You´re in the arms of the Angel; may you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There´s vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That make up for all that you lack
It don´t make no difference, escape one last time
It´s easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of the Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you feel
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You´re in the arms of the Angel; may you find some comfort here

In the arms of the Angel; may you find some comfort here

Blue Christmas

Someday, I'll Be Saturday Night )

I'll have a blue Christmas,
without you.
I'll be so blue thinking,
about you.
Decorations of red,
on a green Christmas-tree,
won't mean a thing, dear,
if you're not here with me.

I'll have a blue Christmas,
that's certain.
And, when that blue hearache
start's hurtin',
you'll be doin' all right,
with your Christmas of white.
But, I'll have a blue, blue Christmas.

I'll have a blue Christmas,
without you.
I'll be so blue thinking,
about you.
Decorations of red,
on a green Christmas-tree,
won't mean a thing, dear,
if you're not here with me.

I'll have a blue Christmas,
that's certain.
And, when that blue hearache
start's hurtin',
you'll be doin' all right,
with your Christmas of white.
But, I'll have a blue, blue Christmas.

(A blue Christmas,
that's certain.)
And, when that blue heartache
start's hurtin',
you'll be doin' all right,
with your Christmas of white,
but, I'll have a blue, blue Christmas...

Free Bird

Someday, I'll Be Saturday Night )

If I leave here tomorrow
would you still remember me
For I must be travelling on now
there's too many places I gotta see

And if I stay here with you girl
things just wouldn't be the same
For I'm as free as a bird now
and this bird you cannot change
and the bird you cannot change
and the bird you cannot change
Lord knows I can't change

Bye bye it's been sweet love
though this feeling I can't change
Please don't take it so badly
Lord knows I must play

And if I stay here with you girl
things just couldn't be the same
For I'm as free as a bird now
and this bird you cannot change
and the bird you cannot change
and the bird you cannot change
Lord knows I can't change

Full of Grace
By Sarah McLachlan
(Featured in
Chapters )

The winter here's cold, and bitter
It's chilled us to the bone
We haven't seen the sun for weeks
To long too far from home
I feel just like I'm sinking
And I claw for solid ground
I'm pulled down by the undertow
I never thought I could feel so low
Oh darkness I feel like letting go

If all of the strength and all of the courage
Come and lift me from this place
I know I could love you much better than this
Full of grace
Full of grace
My love

So it's better this way, I said
Having seen this place before
Where everything we said and did
Hurts us all the more
Its just that we stayed, too long
In the same old sickly skin
I'm pulled down by the undertow
I never thought I could feel so low
Oh darkness I feel like letting go

If all of the strength
And all of the courage
Come and lift me from this place
I know I could love you much better than this
Full of grace
Full of grace
My love

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
By Bobby Vinton

Someday, I'll Be Saturday Night )

God rest ye merry gentlemen,
let nothing you dismay.
Remember Christ our Savior
was born on Christmas day.
To save us all from satan's pow'r
when we were gone astray.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.
Comfort and joy.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

From God, our Heavenly Father,
the blessed angel came.
And, onto certain shepards
brought tidings of the same.
How that in Bethlehem was born
the Son of God by name.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.
Comfort and joy.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

And, when they came to Bethlehem,
where our dear Savior lay,
they found him in a manger
where oxen feed on hay.
His mother Mary kneeling down,
unto the Lord did pray.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.
Comfort and joy.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

Now, to the Lord sing praises,
all you within his place.
And, when true-love and brotherhood
each-other now embrace.
This holy tide of Christmas,
all others must deface.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.
Comfort and joy.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy...

Hello
By Lionel Ritchie

Stay Gold )

I've been alone with you
inside my mind.
And, in my dreams I've kissed your lips
a thousand times.
I sometimes see you pass outside my door.
Hello, is it me you're looking for?

I can see it in your eyes,
I can see it in your smile.
You're all I've ever wanted,
and my arms are open wide.
'Cause, you know just what to say,
and, you know just what to do.
And, I want so much to tell you,
I love you.

I long to see the sunlight in your hair,
and tell you time and time again,
how much I care.
I sometimes feel my heart will overflow.
Hello, I've just got to let you know.
'Cause, I wonder where you are.
And, I wonder what you do.
Are you somewhere feeling lonely,
or, is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart,
for I haven't got a clue.
But, let me start by saying,
''I love you."

Hello, is it me you're looking for?

'Cause, I wonder where you are.
And, I wonder what you do.
Are you somewhere feeling lonely,
or, is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart,
for I haven't got a clue.
But, let me start by saying,
''I love you.''

Horse With No Name
By America
(Featured in
Someday, I'll Be Saturday Night )

On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound

I´ve been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
´Cause there ain´t no one for to give you no pain

After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
After three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead

You see I´ve been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
´Cause there ain´t no one for to give you no pain

After nine days I let the horse run free
´Cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
there was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with it´s life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no love

You see I´ve been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
´Cause there ain´t no one for to give you no pain
